Two owls arrive three hours after Rabastan leaves, both carrying tiny packages. These packages are deceptive, as the contents inside are much larger after removed...MUCH larger. Rabastan accessed his funds through Narcissa, but he didn't tell her what they were for and thus they're a surprise to both of them.

I am not sure what your mother has or has not told you about me, but I am your father's brother, Rabastan Lestrange. I have been kicking around the idea of owling or journaling you for some time, but I wasn't sure if you'd be open to the contact. Now, however, that I am relatively safe, I have had more free time on my hands to think on things, and to worry. How are you? Are you safe? Well? Have you heard from your mother recently? How is she? I'd understand if you were too busy to reply to your old worry wart of an uncle, or if you didn't want to get into contact with me after so long, but it would be nice to get to know you, nephew. |

How on earth did this happen? How did I end up a fath...
I have no choice but to cut directly to the point. I need a favor of you, and I will give anything for you to grant it to me. I became involved with a woman named Darcie Stanton shortly after my first escape from Azkaban, and though I was unaware, she gave birth to my daughter. Darcie is dying, Narcissa, and looking for a guardian for Allyssa. I would give anything to be that man, but you and I both know that is no option just now. Would you allow me to legally place her under your care? I would accept any arrangement, I only ask that you allow me to get to know the girl, that you let me be a part of her life. Please, Narcissa, I have no one else to ask, and the girl has no other chance.

It's wonderful to be warm and dry and well fed again. So far this year is turning out much better than the last.

I am staying with a close friend, and hope that you are all doing well. I'm sorry for not keeping in better contact with you all over the years, but when you're on the run it's rather difficult. I'm not sure how long I'll be staying here, as I don't want to draw undue danger to Nar... my friend, but for a small amount of time I will be able to write you all more often.
